Perfect in every way ! Beautiful SW coastal Oregon ocean view, close to great town of Brookings. Property exactly as described by owners. Fully equipped kitchen. Communication promptly acknowledged. Have stayed at Rainbow Rock before, will do so again, as would other family members. Highly recommend.

We had such a wonderful time at this condo! The decor is absolutely extraordinary! We were there for a week, and each day, I discovered some new delight. I loved EVERYTHING, from the gorgeous bedspreads, to the many, many paintings and wall hangings, to all the other delightful beach decor. We have stayed at a lot of condos, and this is the first time we said, “They have thought of everything!” The owners must have stayed here quite a bit, because this place wants for nothing…it’s better than home. And of course, I must mention the view. I sat in the little viewing nook on several evenings as the light disappeared from the sky and the stars peaked out. On our last evening, I was filled with melancholy, thinking how much I would miss that very special spot. We usually stay on the central Oregon coast, as it is much closer to home, but the views there cannot begin to compare to Brookings! We also loved to looked down at the path to the beach and watch the wildlife. We saw lots of humming birds and butterflies, two brown bunnies, a grey digger and a squirrel, plus lots of birds. It felt like we were in the middle of an animated fairy tale with all these lovely creatures. I guess you can tell, we had a fabulous time!

Our 2 month (7/1-8/31/2016) stay at the Rainbow Rock condominium conjures up the following:

• Mesmerizing and captivating views from the time we first opened the door to our temporary new abode, replicated each time we turned while inside condo or exploring the paths outside and seeing the living seascape before us;

• Reflections on peaceful times spent in the “view alcove” watching the ocean tirelessly kiss the shoreline no matter how many times it is sent away;

• Walking on the beach and exploring its mysteries, one can shake the sand from your shoes but not from your soul;

• Memories of the many different varieties of the dramatic views (sunny with a blue sky, ominously cloudy and threatening, light mist slowly blanketing the ocean and stacks, heavy fog that makes you feel like you are living in a cloud, or surreal views of the moon reflecting itself on a tranquil or rough ocean with the stacks standing guard);

• Not feeling compelled to go out searching for a unique dining experience each night because you already have it sitting outside your window, just add some imagination and creative cooking to make it complete. Don’t feel hurried, or deal with questionable service, or be concerned about having an extra glass of wine;

• Smell the sea, feel the sky, let your soul and spirit fly while looking at a private beach unspoiled by the distraction of crowds;

• Watch and photograph from the condo balcony as a female deer and her fawn meander up the path just below the condo balcony;

• At night, when the sky is full of stars and the sea is still you get the wonderful sensation that you are floating in space;

• There are scores of activities and places to visit in and around the Brookings area (i.e. Azalea Park, Jerry’s Rogue Jet boat excursion (Gold Beach), beautiful scenic stops (Samuel Boardman State Scenic Corridor) etc.),

• The ocean stirs the heart, inspires the imagination and brings eternal joy to the soul;

• The memories of our stay at Rainbow Rock will linger on, long after our footprints in the sand are gone.

I suspect that you get the feeling that we enjoyed our two month stay and will return next year. You are correct!

We enjoyed celebrating our 30th anniversary on the coast in your wonderful condo. A much needed vacation with outstanding views and sounds of the ocean. Very quiet and well appointed. The entire unit is really comfortable and cozy with Wonderful sunrise and sunsets. Y’all have no idea how much we needed this get-away and are looking forward to staying again next year. Thank you both so much!

Wow! What a view and great condo. It was immaculate and so comfortable. When we walked in the front door our eyes immediately went to the other end of the condo and the view…then we checked out our home for the next week. The beds and linens are better than a 5 star hotel. We had a small problem upon arrival…no water….but called number given by Craig and Merry and within minutes someone was there to fix the problem. Seems another tenant turned their water off along with water for this unit. After that all was wonderful. Took a lot of site seeing trips around the area but the best part was returning every day and opening the balcony door and getting the ocean breeze and listening to the waves hitting the beach below the condo! One morning early we watched a pair of deer frolicking in the waves and playing like two puppies….have never seen this before! Really hope to make it back someday to bring friends! Thank you Craig and Merry!

The best vrbo we ever stayed at! Best view, best equipped, most comfortable beds! Craig is a great property owner, and really made it right when we had an issue. We had a tough vacation due to my son getting food poisoning before we left Illinois, this was a perfect place to rest and recharge! Thanks again for everything Craig! Hopefully we will make it back again someday!

We had a wonderful time here. The condo was clean, well equipped and had everything needed. The beds were very comfortable. The views were the best I’ve ever seen. The private beach was awesome. We also walked and hiked on other beaches close by. We saw orcas, grey whales and sea lions from the beaches. This would be a splendid rental for 2 couples.

This condo is decorated very nicely, is very comfortable, and is also very clean-all important attributes. The views are spectacular along this coastline. Didn’t cook much so can’t be specific, but kitchen looked stocked. Beds were great, TV and internet were nice. All in all, a great condo at Rainbow Rock.

Stayed at this wonderful condo the month of July, 2014. Everything about the condo fit our needs and the view from the window was the best ever. I have rented many places and this had the best views of the ocean I have ever seen. The owners were very responsive to any of our request or questions. The description of the place is accurate and I would highly recommend it to anyone including my family. I plan to be back next year.

One of my concerns was the smallness of the town and getting the things you need to stay in the area. They have two large grocery stores, lot of small shops and many places to eat. The eating place we liked the most was Super Fly which had a limited menu but great food at a reasonable price. The town is small but interesting and a nice harbor with public fishing. There are many different beaches to explore between Brookings and Gold Beach. The rock formations make each beach different and beautiful.

The condo had everything you will need to cook any kind of meal you may want and the beds were very comfortable and for someone like me with a bad back that is very

important! There is plenty of closet space in the master bedroom and many other areas to store anything you might need to make you stay more comfortable.

The parking was great with a private garage which also had space to store such items like bicycles, kayaks and bulk items you may have brought. The condo complex is very safe and secure.

The cliff path to the private beach is pretty steep in places, but is manageable by most individuals and provides for a great place to do your daily walk. There are also many trails to walk in the area including river walks which we really enjoyed.

While we were there we saw three different whales from the window and enjoyed the viewing of them. One stayed around for 4 days, what a treat!

Everything in the unit worked and fit our needs. The whole experience for the month was enjoyable including picking wild blackberries for a cobbler.

The weather created our desire to vacation on the Oregon coast. It never rained while we were there and the temperature never quite made 70 degrees but never lower than 56. In Gold Beach it could be 83 and only 63 in Brookings. Not sure why but it made the walks on the beach and trails around Brooking a pleasure.

I would give it an A+.

We relaxed and thoroughly enjoyed 7 days here, watched whales and seals, went on hikes, and took many photos to remember this place by. The condo was comfy with all the conveniences of home. We sat in the bay window each day to watch the sunrise and also the sunset. Our binoculars were with us at all times! We look forward to returning again sometime soon.

The condo is very conveniently located with the most wonderful views of the Pacific. The owners thought of everything a guest could want or need during their stay including comfortable well appointed furnishings. If you are planning a trip to the Oregon coast do yourself a favor and stay at this condo you won’t regret that decision.

Our 90 year old father adored the condo and didn’t want to leave. There are so many thoughtful and lovely personal touches – it made us feel right at home. The decorating scheme was pleasing and upscale. And the view … we lucked into great weather so we were really able to appreciate how glorious it was. Weeks like the one we just spent with Dad will likely be rare. He sat on the deck watching the waves and birds, and kept telling all of us that it was “one of the top 10 most beautiful places in the world”. My brother, Dad and I had a wonderful, memorable time laughing, sea and star-gazing and arguing (a family tradition). Thanks so much!

My wife and I have hiked much of the Oregon Coast trail in Southern Oregon. The view from this condo is is one of the best we have seen. We could not stop looking out the windows. We had a very enjoyable and relaxing time. The unit was neat, clean, well furnished and in very good shape. This was very peaceful compared to a motel. It is just north of Brookings so you can still get to good shopping and restaurants. We intend to return.

My family had a great time at the condo. We loved being able to view the ocean all day long and especially listening to the wind blow. Our kids had fun exploring down at the beach. For me the best part was that I only had to bring food because everything was there to cook and enjoy ourselves. I struggle with sleeping in any bed other than my own, but I had no problem with sleeping on the bed at the condo. The entire weekend was a very positive experience for us.

What a marvelous place to spend time on the Oregon Coast! Condo was especially lovely and well maintained. All the comforts of home were there plus more. We highly recommend this particular condo which is decorated with elegant taste.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this comfortable, nicely decorated and well-equipped condominium. We especially enjoyed the outstanding view from the sofa by the large window, There is s small office off of the living room which was an unexpected and welcome addition. The owners are welcoming and helpful. We expect to return.
